Hello my lovelies. If you’re a sun worshipper, you should have spent the day in my little corner of the northeast of England. We’ve had some beautiful days this week. I’m hoping for a few more days like today over the next couple of months.
I’ve spent the day mooching around while hubby got ready for his next adventure. My hubby is jetting off to far flung places tomorrow for work. So Sarah and I will be keeping each other company and hopefully keeping each other on the straight and narrow for the next couple of weeks. We’ve got plenty to keep us occupied during the summer school break. I have all kinds of ideas brewing, my notebook and my brain is overflowing.
I did a wee bit of sewing related stuff this afternoon while trying to keep cool. Yesterday’s drawing …..
is starting to come to life now …..
And now that it’s all tacked in place it looks even better …..
After pinning it to the background I wasn’t sure if my idea was going to work but once all the patches were tacked down it looked somewhat smoother. I don’t care for bumpy work. I plan on adding a leaf or two, some eyes and a smiley mouth. I look forward to starting the fine hand appliqué this evening. This project is part of a new challenge which is time sensitive.
It’s been a nice day in my little world. I ran some errands, had breakfast out and the plumbers have signed off on my bathroom work. Yippeee ….. What a relief! Tomorrow I’m off to spend the day at Stitchin’ Heaven, with some like-minded ladies, who want to learn how to piece the autumn block of my Four Season Whimsy. I look forward to the chat and the goodies. Sunday will be less fun as I’m planning a spot of tidying up. My fridge needs cleaning. Oh yuck! And perhaps I will visit the supermarket to replenish the fresh skinny food. And once that’s done I will make a plan of action for the week to come.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some fine hand appliqué work. I look forward to seeing my caterpillar progress further. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
