Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super weekend. It’s been a super day in my little world. The temperature has been much more comfortable today. So I spent the day in my sewing room longarm quilting. Last week was so hot that I couldn’t run my longarm system.
I kicked off my day by taking my Maisie to the vet for her annual booster. I’m very happy to report that Maisie is in good shape and even her heart murmur is no worse than at her last check-up. Hooray! It feel quite relieved.
So as I mentioned earlier I spent the day in my sewing room longarm quilting Dora’s hexies. I can’t imagine how many hexies Dora had to make to piece this quilt but there must be several thousand. Hexagons are such a good way of using up scraps. And a hexagon project is so easy to take along to work on while you’re waiting for something to happen.
I have made a little progress on my caterpillar project. I just need to finish adding veins to one leaf and then I can move onto adding felt eyes and a stitched smiley mouth. I’ve really enjoyed working on this little project.
On Sunday afternoon I usually take the time to make a plan of action for the coming week. Well for some unknown reason I didn’t do it yesterday. So my week is going to be a little disjointed. I have plenty of longarm quilting to catch up on so I think I will have to concentrate on that this week. Tomorrow I will be visiting a group of like-minded ladies who want to learn to make my Cutting Mat Bag. I have no doubt the day will be full of fabulous fun. I don’t often visit groups but if they approach well ahead of time I can work it into my busy schedule.
I’ve had a pretty good start to my week. I hope the next four days are as successful and productive as today was. Perhaps I should run without a plan of action for a couple of weeks and see what happens. The only thing is that if I don’t make a list of what needs doing I forget to do it.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some stitchery work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
