Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super weekend. My weekend was busy doing something and nothing. I don’t even want to take you back to Friday because that turned out to be the day from hell. Let’s just say that a simple flooring job ended up needing a plumber to sort out a drip that turned into a trickle which if left unchecked could have caused a lot of damage. The flooring isn’t finished but luckily the leak has been sorted.
I did plenty of longarm quilting over the last few days. I finally finished up the last of Ann’s little quilts. And this is how the last three look now …..
I’m sure Ann will be pleased with the finished result. And the recipients will treasure these quilts for years to come.
On Saturday afternoon, after my Sarah stepped out to attend an event in town, I sat at my hobby table with my sketchpad, my favourite pencil and my rulers and shapes and drew to my hearts’ content.
My new project is called A Sweetheart’s Dozen and you would be forgiven if you’re thinking that the project consists of 12 hearts but actually there will be a baker’s dozen, 13 heart themed blocks. I’m quite pleased with the progress I’ve made. Only one block to go and the drawings will be complete. So keep your eyes peeled for the occasional wee peek of this project over the next few months. In the meantime, I’m going to work up the courage to pull the ribbon off of my chosen fat quarter collection to get the quilt making started!
It’s been a pretty productive day in my little world. Even my Sarah was busy piecing quilt blocks while I was longarm quilting. My Maisie dog was very busy snoring for most of the day. It’s a dog’s life!
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some fine hand appliqué. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
