Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all been enjoying a fab weekend. Mine’s been pretty busy with one thing and another.
I spent most of today in my sewing room longarm quilting Josie’s granddaughter’s quilt. Here’s a little peek …..
It was lovely working on this cheerful quilt today. When I kicked off the job this morning it was wet and dismal out so it was a pleasure to step into my sewing room to work on this cheerful project.
My goal for today was to run a couple of errand, which I did, and then do some longarm quilting, which I did. I went one step further and loaded another quilt to start longarm quilting tomorrow once I’ve made a few phone calls to organise a couple of things. This next quilt was pieced by Christine for her grandson. The teddy stitcheries are really lovely and the colours she chose are perfect. I will be performing a custom job avoiding the stitchery blocks on this one. I will probably work on it over a couple of days.
A few weeks back I asked you all to make suggestions regarding what you include in your sewing kits for attending a sewing group meeting or a workshop. So I compiled all the suggestions and this is what I decided I would include in my sewing kit for a machine sewing workshop or group meeting. And this is what I would include in my sewing kit for hand sewing workshop or group meeting. When I teach, I usually bring this and more just to cover all the bases.
Well it’s been a pretty busy weekend. I spent Friday and Saturday at Stitchin’ Heaven with some like-minded ladies who have been working on my beginner’s sampler quilt and my One Row at a Time Quilt project. I got the chance to fondle some lovely fabric. And of course I didn’t come home empty handed. I didn’t get much of a chance to do any sewing of my own so far tis weekend but I’ll make up for that this evening while I’m watching some mindless TV shows. I sat down to work out a plan of attack for all the tasks I hope to accomplish this coming week but if the weather is reasonable I hope to step out once or twice. We’ll just have to wait and see how things develop.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some fine hand appliqué work on my Sweetheart’s Dozen. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
