Hell my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a fab day. It’s been another good one in my little world. I walked my little dog in the sunshine this morning which set me up for a fine day. The breeze is blowing pegging the temperature down but it’s been lovely nonetheless.
Once my little chores were done this morning I headed into my sewing room to do some longarm quilting. I worked on Molly’s quilt today. I believe Molly used a Jelly Roll to piece this quilt. It’s a fairly simple design but so effective. Don’t you just lovely Jelly Roll; because the 2-1/2” strips are pre-cut half the work is already done.
Molly chose a quilting design called Cloud Nine by Patricia Ritter and I suggested an oatmeal colour thread which matches the background fabric really well. Once I started stitching I knew that Molly chose very well in terms of quilting design. This is what Molly’s quilt looks like now …..
After longarm quilting Molly’s quilt I decided I should hang out in my sewing room for a bit longer. So I loaded another quilt for next time. This one was pieced by Christine and she also used a Jelly Roll to piece this quilt top. This simple quilt pattern is lovely. I think it’s the choice of background fabric that compliment the Jelly Roll fabrics so well that makes the quilt lovely. Christine has also chosen a rather nice quilting design along with a cream colour thread. You’ll have to wait for another day to see what design was chosen.
So it’s been another interesting and productive day in happy longarm quilter land. Another Jelly Roll quilt quilted and another Jelly Roll quilt loaded for next time. I was hoping to do some Freemotion Quilting using my domestic sewing machine but I didn’t have enough time left over before it was time to make an evening meal. All my five minute jobs took longer than five minutes today.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some quiet and relaxing fine hand appliqué work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something interesting. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
