Hello my lovelies. Have you had a fab day too? My Sarah and I started a new adventure today. In between preparing for our adventure I slipped away into my sewing room to do a bit of Freemotion Quilting.
I started working on my Neocolor II sampler. You might remember that I added the colour last week and was supposed to start machine quilting it last Sunday. Well needless to say I didn’t have time to stitch last Sunday. So today I managed to outline all the colour shapes with a bit of stitching. What a difference a bit of grey outline stitching makes! It started off looking like this last weekend …..
And now that I have added a few stitches it looks like this …..
I think it can only get better when I add the over filler stitching. The rest of the stitching will be done in a thread that matches the background. I look forward to seeing the finished result of this project.
If you haven’t already signed up for my Freemotion Quilting class at Stitchin’ Heaven on Tuesday you’re running out of time. I carried on Freemotion Quilting to make a sampler of stitches for Tuesday’s class. If you haven’t had a go at Freemotion Quilting yet now is the perfect time. If you’re anything like me you have plenty of projects that need to be layered and quilted. Freemotion Quilting would finish off your quilts beautifully. Here’s a little peek at my little practise sampler …..
It’s been a good day in my little world. We got a good start to our new adventure today. You’ll have to pop in again to find out what our little adventure is all about.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some fine hand appliqué. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until your read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
