Hello my lovelies. I hope you all had a brilliant day. It’s been a pretty busy day in my little world.
I spent the day in my sewing room again today. I layered up yesterday’s little quilt top and did some simple machine quilting …..
And then I added some binding and a label …..
This project looks even better than it did on paper …..
I will be hand finishing the binding this evening and then adding some embellishment in the centre. I quite enjoyed making my Leaf Table Runner because I got to do some simple machine quilting and I used one of the fancy stitches built into my sewing machine. It’s a great project for beginners as well as intermediates. We use a variety of techniques such as rotary cutting, machine piecing, raw edge appliqué using Bondaweb and machine quilting. I hope to reveal the whole finished project over the weekend. If this sounds like the type of project you might like to learn to make please phone Stitchin’ Heaven on 01665 570 833 to register for the class on Thursday September 3rd. Come and join in the fun.
It’s been another nice sunny day here. And I really enjoyed working on my sewing machine. I don’t do as much machining as I used to so when I get the chance to have a machine session it’s a real treat. And bringing one of my own designs to life is great. Tomorrow I will be teaching a few different Freemotion Quilting techniques.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on today’s effort and embellishing it. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you thoroughly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
