Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a great first day of September. Can you believe two-thirds of 2015 is behind us!!!!
I don’t have any sewing progress today. I handed over one finished quilt to Pat. And she was thrilled with the finished result. And this afternoon I delivered another very special quilt, The Story Teller’s Quilt to Jane of Henry Dancer Days For those of you who would like to learn more about this special project, I will definitely be posting about my experience of being part of making this special quilt sometime over the next week or so.
I usually post earlier in the day but because I have been out all afternoon I couldn’t. And as I sit here in front of my laptop I realize that it’s already getting dark. I guess autumn really is around the corner. I’m quite looking forward to snuggling under a quilt in front of the fire in the evening in a few weeks. I always enjoy the smell of scented candles burning but I only light candles in the cold months. The leaves are already falling off the trees in my front garden …..
I think of all the seasons I like autumn the best. I look forward to bundling myself up in winter woollies. And I look forward to wearing boots and crunching the leaves under foot. I have lots to look forward to.
I received a very special gift a couple of weeks ago …..
I received this lovely pincushion from one of my students who won tickets to The Festival of Quilts in my giveaway last month. Don’t you just love it? Moira did a fab job of piecing this lovely pear shaped pincushion. I’m a very lucky happy longarm quilter. Thank you Moira.
Well it’s been another rather busy day in my little world. I plan on stepping out for a bit tomorrow. I am preparing for a little spot of dressmaking in the near future. So I will be hunting and gathering a couple of patterns. I know what I want but I’m not sure what the pattern books will have to offer. And then there’s fabric to be purchased. I may not make it home in time to post tomorrow evening. So if I go missing tomorrow you’ll know why.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be recording thoughts and ideas in a notebook and perhaps doing a little hand quilting. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
