Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super-duper day. It’s been another interesting day in my little world. I saw hundreds of muscled men riding rather expensive bikes this afternoon.
As I mentioned yesterday, the Tour of Britain was meant to be riding past my door this afternoon. Organising events like todays must take a whole lot of planning and organising. The powers that be spent plenty of time and money on cleaning up the streets and making sure security was just right. I live 1km from the finish line …..
By 10am this morning all the barriers had been erected to keep everyone safe. And at 1pm this inflatable tunnel was in place at the 1km point.
I turned the TV on to keep up with the progress of cyclists. And the description info mentioned my town …..
As soon as I knew the cyclists were approaching I stepped out with my camera and snapped a few shots. The quality of the photos isn’t great because the cyclists were on the move.
I spent a few hours in my sewing room today. I finished longarm quilting Pat’s second quilt. I think Pat will be pleasantly surprised with the finish result of her quilts.
It’s been another interesting day in happy longarm quilter land. I will be absent over the next few days due to family commitments. I hope to post some interesting sewing news in a few days.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some hexie work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
