Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a good productive day. I spent the whole day in my sewing room working on Sandra’s quilt. I made great progress but there’s still another row of blocks and borders to stitch. Here’s a look at what I’ve been doing today.
Custom quilting involves treating each section individually. In this case I’m longarm quilting a sampler so I have decided to quilt each block a little differently. So have a look at how I added stitching to each block …..
Have you ever wondered how to quilt tumbling blocks? Well I thought I would try a bit of curvy stitching. And I’m quite happy with the result. This curvy stitching can be done using a domestic sewing machine as well as a longarm quilting system.
I spent eight hours on my feet operating my longarm quilting system today. Once again today, I feel tired but it’s a good tired giving me a sense of accomplishment. Sandra’s quilt is looking good. I’m really pleased with what I accomplished today. And my Sarah is coming home for the weekend for the first time. She’ll be coming home by train this evening. I can’t wait to hear all about her adventures so far.
So for this evening, this tired but very very happy longarm quilter will be doing some fine hand appliqué while watching some mindless TV. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you as happy as I am today. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
