Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a lovely day. In my little corner of the northeast of England we started the day off misty and bleak but lunchtime the sun was shining and it had quite a lot of warmth in it. I wonder if this week is our Indian Summer???
I’m afraid I don’t have much sewing progress to report. I spent a few hours with a few ladies working on Dresden Plate blocks. And I was so busy I completely forgot to take any photos! I will try to do better next time. I have a little more to tell you about this Dresden Plate Project but I’ll save that for another day when I have some photos.
Although I did not do any sewing or longarm quilting today, I did load a very interesting quilt into my longarm quilting system ….
This Four Season Whimsical Appliqué and Stitchery quilt was pieced by Veronica. You may or may not know that for the last three years I have designs Whimsical Appliqué & Stitchery Quilt projects and Veronica was one of the lucky ladies who took this year’s Whimsy classes. Tomorrow I will start quilting this fab little quilt. As I have already quilted one of these, my sample that is, I will try to stick to the same plan. I can’t wait to see what Veronica’s quilt looks like once all the special hand painted have been sewn on. Things are starting to settle down in happy longarm quilter land. The last few weeks have been so busy in my little world and now I seem to be able to take a breath now and again. I’m ready to tuck myself into the slow lane so I can enjoy the scenery.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some fine hand appliqué work; it’s a brilliant way of unwinding after a busy day. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
