Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super day. My day has been full of loveliness. I spent most of my day in my sewing room longarm quilting Veronica’s Four Season Whimsy quilt. I’m very pleased to announce that all the quilting is done now and here is a sneaky little peek at part of what I stitched today …..
I taught two classes at Stitchin’ Heaven on Friday and Saturday. The ladies learned a variety of techniques; Christmas Stockings, Japanese Meshwork on Friday and Cathedral Window, Cutting Mat Bag and Seasonal Wreath on Saturday. And somehow everyone went away having learned something and well on their way to success. So here’s a selection of photos from my two days spent in very good company …..
And here are a couple of photos of prize winning projects that were made with my help. This first photo is Shirley’s Japanese Meshwork cushion for which she won first prize in the Longframlington Show …..
And this Cutting Mat Bag is one of my designs as well which Margaret pieced and entered into the Glanton Show for which she won second place prize. It makes me feel good to know that somehow I have inspired these ladies to be creative.
Well it’s been a really busy day in my little world of longarm quilting. My main goal for today was to finish longarm quilting Veronica’s quilt; which I did and went on to machine the binding onto the right side of the quilt and which I will hand finish on the back this evening. After comparing my work list and my diary I realise that the next three weeks are going to be manic for me. It’s days like today that make me realise that I need a wife. I have a husband but a wife would be even better to help me thru the next few weeks. Tucking myself into the slow lane to enjoy the scenery for a bit is very appealing at the moment.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on Veronica’s quilt. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly love doing. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
