Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve had a fab day. My day was full of tying up loose ends again. I made phone calls, sent emails, went to the post office and the bank. And now I’m ready for the days ahead.
I managed to have a little bit of creative time in my sewing room after loading a quilt into my longarm system. I spent time playing with wire and beads and my sewing machine was cranked up to the max finishing off raw edges. Here’s what I was playing with …..
These are the basic samples that accompany my Inchies & Postcards class which I will be teaching next week. We’re going to have so much fun. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working on this because I was able to use mainly supplies from my stash. I love experimenting with different types of thread. In this case I had a little go with rayon thread which gave me super results. I was always afraid to use rayon thread until recently. A topstitch needle works wonders. If you’re coming to my Inchies & Postcards class at Stitchin’ Heaven next week and you haven’t received your requirements list let me know and I’ll get you sorted.
I realised a few days ago that depending on the season my crafts change and my purchases are affected. For instance, at the moment all I want to do is play with woolly bits. I am presently knitting a jumper. And yesterday while I was in Whitby I purchased some woolly bits. I would really like to do some needle felting right now. Perhaps on Sunday when things are quiet I will get my felting supplies out and plan a project.
So it’s been a pretty good day in my world. I got loads of loose ends tied up and that’s always a good feeling. I have all these ideas swimming around my head but for now all I can do is make notes and sketches for later on.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some more embellishing. I’m really enjoying playing with beads and threads. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
