Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a fabulous creative day. I didn’t create anything but mayhem all day. I spent all of today at Stitchin’ Heaven teaching some very willing ladies to make Patchwork Christmas Crackers. Anne suggested Christmas Crackers way back at the beginning of the year …..
So I set to and I measured and I rotary cut and pieced a few samples to be sure that it would work and came up with this …..
These are the ladies that joined us today to have a little play …..
And these are the ladies who joined us on Saturday to have a little play.
Here are a few of the crackers they produced …..
The most difficult part of making these crackers is choosing the fabric. They’re simple to make so you can make four in no time flat. And you can embellish them as you wish. It’s amazing what you can make with a few Fat Quarters. During our many conversations today we decided that these would be great to put small presents in such as show tickets, money, jewellery, mini booze bottles etc, the sky’s the limit. It was lovely to spend the day with like-minded ladies. Thank you for keeping me company today ladies.
It’s been a really good day in my patchwork world. We chatted about all kinds of things. And we had some laughs. In fact, I laughed so much that I’ve come home exhausted. I wasn’t even sure I would have the energy to compose a post for this evening but I wanted to post while today was still fresh in my memory.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some clamshell work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly love. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
