Hello my lovelies. I hope you all had a fabulous day. I’ve already started to slowdown. I’m working at my slow and measured pace recharging my batteries.
So apart from an appointment with my hairdresser and another appointment with Lynn who collected her finished quilt, I didn’t spend much time in my sewing room. I pieced a few Quarter Square Triangles for Mr. Chillingsworth …..
I shopped for a quilting design for Mr. Chillingsworth last evening …..
I think this quilting design called Gossamer by Hermione Agee will look great on this Mr. Chillingsworth quilt. It almost looks like a spider web but not too spooky.
I still have a couple of beginner’s mixed classes this week before we break up for Christmas. And of course I would like to present my lovely ladies with a bit of a Christmas challenge they can take away and work on over the holiday if they wish. So I did a wee bit of printing …..
And chose some suitable fabric scraps and started machine sewing this Foundation Paper Pieced project. Mine will be used as a mug rug but they can be turned into anything you fancy. I think they might make great bunting.
Once I finished piecing the centre I added a little border …..
And some simple in-the-ditch quilting …..
I cut some binding ….
And I will hand finish the binding this evening. I hope to post a photo of the finished mug rug tomorrow.
And speaking of tomorrow ….. my Sarah and I will be stepping out tomorrow to do a bit of Christmas crafting. We don’t get to do that very often. I’m hoping to be able to post about our Christmas crafty session so you see what else this very happy quilter likes to do now and again.
I can’t believe how quickly the days are disappearing. Did you realise that there’s only 9 sleeps to go before the big day? Starting Monday, I will be in proper holiday mode. My Christmas shopping is done and apart from writing a few cards everything else is sorted. I’ll do a bit of tidying up and I can concentrate on a bit of sewing, watch some rubbish TV and simply give my tired brain a rest.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will hand finish the binding on a Christmas mug rug and perhaps work on clamshells. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something festive. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
