Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super day. Here in my little corner of the northeast of England we woke to a rather frosty morning. However, that didn’t stop me from going out and having a little tidy up in the front garden. I raked and loaded the leaves and other garden rubbish into bags and then disposed of the bags at the tip. I’m pleased with this morning’s effort. I know that I’ll sleep well tonight after getting a good lung full of fresh winter air.
After that task I needed warming thru. And when I was warm, I headed up to the loft to having a wee freemotion longarm quilting session using Jackie the Juki. I worked on this charity quilt until the job was done. I had a general idea of what I wanted to stitch on this quilt but I changed my mind once I got upstairs. I went from a continuous box type of quilting design to a swirly paisley type design. Once again I used the same blue thread and once again I had absolutely no issues with thread breaks or shredding. The swirly design softens the boxy block pattern and I think it looks great. It’s taken me a long time to accept my work. And although it’s not perfect it still looks good. Here’s a few photos to give you an idea what the quilt looks like now …..
I’ve had a good productive day in my little world. I’m satisfied with what I accomplished. I’ve been quietly busy. I’ve minded my own business and therefore didn’t get into any trouble. I wonder how long my trouble-free streak can last.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on today’s freemotion longarm quilting effort. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
