Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a great start to the new week. Of late Mondays have all been quite different for me. Only because I’m dithering. I’m still finding it hard to work out a schedule so I have basically been doing whatever whenever I feel like it. I’m not sure that it’s the most constructive use of my time though. Never mind things will fall into place soon I’m sure.
So what did I do today apart from a few household chores? Well ….. I sat quietly and watched some of the Craftsy classes that I purchased last year!!! I have been longing to learn something new. And a Craftsy class suits me right down to the ground. You can start and stop the video whenever you wish and you can watch it over and over again. Today I watched Amy Johnson’s Quilting with Rulers on a Home Machine. I finished watching Lori Kennedy’s Divide and Conquer, Creative Quilting for any Space …..
And I also watched a couple of lessons from Angela Walters’ Machine Quilting Borders & Backgrounds. Along with my favourite fur baby companion …..
I sat quietly for several hours watching, making a shopping list of useful equipment and doodling quilting designs. Here’s a few doodles from Lori’s class …..
Sitting quietly for such a long time is unheard of in this house. I’m always up to something. Well today I didn’t do any sewing be it by hand or machine. Well that’s not a bad thing, a change of pace and sometimes scenery makes life more enjoyable. And sometimes when the postman pops a couple of crafty magazines thru door it makes life a whole lot more interesting too. Here’s a couple of magazines that arrived this morning …..
So now I have some new material to take inspiration from. So watch this space.
It’s been a lovely quiet day in my little world. I learned a few tricks and some new quilting designs. I managed to spend the day out of harm’s way and without disturbing anyone. That’s what comes of sitting quietly. I even saw a little bit of sunshine. We’re waiting for a storm in the form of wind and rain to hit the UK sometime in the next 12 hours or so. So we had better all batten down the hatches and hope it misses us.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on hexagons. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
