Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a lovely. It’s been blustery and wet in my little corner of the northeast of England. However, Storm Jonas has not hit us as hard as originally thought. Thank goodness for small mercies.
Apart from doing a few household chores, running a couple of errands, answering emails and telephone calls and having a meeting with Ann, I have not done as much sewing as I would have liked. I’ve had to slowdown a wee bit this week due to an injury. I would like to say that it was a sports injury but sadly it’s a yard work strain. I went at it with zeal last week and so I am suffering for it this week. Never mind it will soon pass and I’ll be as good as new soon enough. In the mean time I can spend some time gathering my thoughts and finding inspiration.
So I stuck to light duties as much as possible. I must admit that trying to get the duvet into a fresh duvet cover was not light duties! However, I did get it done and then I moved onto proper light duties by printing out …..
Once printed, I cut up the paper shapes and corresponding fabric shapes …..
So now I’m ready for another month or so of QAYG Quilts on the Grow. I really enjoyed working on the first four blocks. I have been seriously working on another hexagon UFO and so it is nice to switch over to something else now and again. And although they are both hexagon projects they are quite different.
So it’s been a pretty good day in my little world. I got lots of little bits and pieces done without help nor hindrance. I quietly enjoyed every minute of my day. I have a feeling that tomorrow’s not going to be so quiet though.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some hexagon work in one form or another. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
