Hello my lovelies. And happy February 1st. Can you believe we have just crossed over into the second month of 2016??? Goodness me time sure flies.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was excellent. My Sarah came home for the first time in three weeks and we spent a lovely quiet weekend together. Sarah did some course work and I did something and nothing. Apart from meals, laundry and generally picking up and putting away my something and nothing was hexagon work. I did some prep work on my Quilts on the Grow project …..
And then I did a bit of piecing …..
Here are all the blocks I have pieced so far. As you can see I still have quite a few that need backing and quilting. I am really enjoying this project. I think it’s good to dip into something different now and again.
My Maisie spent the day following me around today. I quite often work in my sewing room where Maisie has her own chair in which she keeps me company …..
I spent some time on all three floors of my house today. I do my communication work from upstairs where I have recently relocated my laptop in order to make my work easier. And also a change of location is good for the soul; different scenery makes life much more interesting. My laptop is located on a desk in front of a window nowadays.
I spent time loading quilts into both of my longarm quilting systems today. Here’s the quilt that I loaded into Jackie the Juki this afternoon …..
This quilt was pieced by Christine for Quilts for Comfort last summer and I picked it to be the next quilt to get the Jackie treatment. I really like this quilt and whoever gets it will be a lucky girl.
So life in happy longarm quilter land is finally returning back to normal. The longarm quilting can wait no more. So it’s time for this very happy longarm quilter to get back into the groove. I think the next few days will be quite stormy with Storm Henry arriving anytime now. So I have plenty to keep me occupied in the sheltered warmth of my little home.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on wee hexagons. Only a few hundred more hexagons to go and I will be finished this long running hexagon project. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
