Hello my lovelies. And happy Monday to all. I hope you’ve all had a fab day. I had a brilliant weekend with my Sarah. We had a couple of little outings but mainly we relaxed. Sarah worked on a 2000-word essay for which the deadline is coming up very shortly. And apart from the regular household chores and the regular cooking all I did was work on hexagons. It was lovely having Sarah home.
Now I have a little bit of news. Lucie the Happy Quilter has been featured in a magazine called Be Creative with Workbox. I was contacted by Mary Bennellick, the editor of said magazine, back in November of last year, saying that after a good look around my blog, she thought that her readers would be interested in what I do. All I had to do was write a few words. Well you know me, I wasn’t sure if I could do this because as you may already know I’m not a proper writer and I’m certainly not a great photographer. After consulting two different friends and being told that I should do this, I started working on my words. I wrote and I polished and I wrote some more. I got my Sarah to read it and I got her approval. Although I did hear back from Mary saying that she was very happy with what I wrote and the photos I sent in and that she was planning on running my article in the March/April issue, I didn’t believe it was really going to happen. So many times I wanted to post about it but I knew I would look silly if it didn’t happen. Well my friends it has happened, I am the featured Creative Blogger for this current issue. If you would like a copy for yourself, you can either purchase one at your news agent and if they don’t have it click here to be taken directly to the website where you can purchase it. It’s a good read. I already subscribe to this magazine but I ordered an extra copy to send to my mother in Canada. I know she’ll be proud to see me published in a craft magazine.
It’s been a good productive day in my little world. I crossed all but one task off my To-Do List which I hope to do this evening. Tomorrow I hope to take a little time out and give myself permission to play. It’s been a while since I have given myself permission to play. So I choose tomorrow to do it. I’m not sure what I will play with yet so you’ll have to wait a little while to find out what I’ll be doing.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some hexagon work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly love doing. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
