Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a great couple of days. The last two days have been manic busy for this very happy longarm quilter. I’ll skip yesterday and move onto today.
I headed off first thing this morning to have my hair cut. I was feeling and looking like a shaggy dog. I love having my hair cut because it makes me feel like a new woman. It’s right up there on my list of favourites with climbing into a bed just after you have put clean fresh sheets on it.
This afternoon I went to my monthly Quilts for Comfort sewing afternoon. I’ve never met such an enthusiastic group of ladies. They genuinely want to help to bring comfort to young people who need it. Today we used a smaller much friendlier room. And as always we had a really good laugh. Here they are at work …..
We discussed all the projects we’re going to finish over the next couple of sessions. It’s quite a lot of fun to work together towards one main goal.
I love my armchair projects. You know those bits of hand sewing that you work on after a long hard day. I have been working on different things over the last few months …..
I find such projects are my safe zone. When I have issues to resolve or I need to work out how to get things done I often sit quietly, do some hand sewing and somehow the ideas and solution flow. Hand sewing is my solace. It brings me comfort and relief.
So it’s been a very good day in my little world. The sun was shining brightly but it was freezing out. I’m so looking forward to feeling some warmth in the sun. It’s been such a long winter.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some fine appliqué work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
