Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a great day. I kept my busy doing one thing and another and basically I don’t have much progress to report today.
Apart from tidying around I pressed 15 half metres of fabric which I plan to use in my next armchair project.
I’ve shown you this fabric before and I must mention once again that it’s so bright that it’s well out of my comfort zone. However, I think that once the quilt it finished I’m going to be happy with the finished result. Once the fabrics were pressed I cut them into 8” strips which will be cut again using my GO! Cutter into apple core shapes. As the apple core shapes are curved on all four sides, and because curved shapes are quite difficult to sew accurately using a sewing machine, I plan on doing the piecing by hand. I’m really looking forward to getting started as I need a new distraction in my life. I need something different and pleasant to concentrate on. I think this cheerful project will keep me distracted from all the unpalatable things that go on in life.
So that’s my report for today. It’s been a pretty good day in my little corner of the northeast of England. I worked at my favourite slow and measured pace giving me a chance to enjoy every minute of what I was mooching about doing all day. It’s amazing how quickly the day passes when you’re enjoying yourself.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand piecing some double wedding ring patches. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing whatever makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
