Hello my lovelies. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. My weekend was splendid. My Sarah and I had a lovely relaxing time. We ate a bit of chocolate and watched a box set. It was lovely to pull into the slow lane and watch the scenery. Life has been rather stressful in my little world of late so slowing down was just what we needed.
In the evenings, while sitting in my armchair and watching mindless TV, I got started on joining some apple core shapes. So they went from looking like this …..
To looking like this …..
If you think this apple core project is something you’d like to have a go at ….. this is a fantastic project. Once you have prepped your shapes or even cut enough shapes to get you started, all you need is a whole slew of straight pins, needle and thread and some scissors. Add a thimble to that list of supplies if you’re a thimble user. I joined the apple core shapes in groups of four patches and then I joined the four patches together until I produced the chosen length of the quilt. This particular project is going to be a throw and I will most likely add a straight border using a quiet fabric print that compliments the busy prints that make up the centre apple core shapes. It’s an easy and very relaxing project to work on. I can highly recommend it.
The last few days have been truly wonderful for me. The weather has been spring like; just what you’d expect for this time of year. The trees are in bud and the grass has been mown. My diary for the next few days is really busy. So there’s every possibility that I will be dipping in an out for a bit. However, I hope to have lots of interesting things for you to read about next week.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be joining a few more apple core shapes. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
