Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a great Easter holiday. I enjoyed the company of my Sarah for just over two weeks. We had a lovely quiet time together. I have been rather quiet with regards to posting as I was struck down by Influenza!!! I can’t remember ever having the flu in all of my fifty some odd years on earth. I was so sick but once I looked up the symptoms and realised what was happening to me I stopped worrying and just let it wash over me. I’m starting to feel more like myself again but I’m so looking forward to my energy levels getting back to normal. I did very little sewing over the past week or so. Here’s the progress I’ve made on my apple core project …
I’m almost at the planned finished size now and for some unknown reason I still have oodles of apple core shapes left over. So I will keep going until there are no more shapes left and then I’ll add a quiet border. I’m looking forward to seeing what this quilt will look like when it’s finished.
So the last couple of weeks have been spent healing and doing very little sewing. We had some lovely girly time and we even indulged ourselves in fits of moodiness while watching some soppy TV shows. I have tried not to watch the evening news because there’s so much bad stuff going on everywhere in the world! Now that I am beginning to feel better I hope that normal service will be resumed sometime over the next few days with regards to posting a little more regularly here.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some hand sewing whilst joining apple core shapes, if I can stay awake long enough! I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you enjoy doing. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
