Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a great weekend. I am finally starting to feel better after my bout of flu. My energy levels are returning and I’m sure it’s because we’ve had two sunny days in a row. Although I’m not a sun worshipper I seem to always feel better when it’s bright out. The sun gives me energy and spurs me on to get things done. It’s not been very warm but I am convinced that spring is truly just around the corner. The thought does me good.
I haven’t done a great deal of sewing over the past couple of weeks but my enthusiasm is coming back now. So I went back to my Quilts on the Grow project …..
Today I have been working on completing a few quiltlets which will be added to the ones I have already joined together. After so many days of not sewing I really enjoyed my hand sewing. Even having to top up the water level on my steam iron didn’t deter me from carrying on. I hate filling the tank of my steam generator iron!!!
Over the past week my Sarah and I have had many discussions about the future. A very good opportunity has come up for us to change things around a little. So after considering all the different aspects of our lives together, we have decided that we’re going to streamline our lives a little, cut out the dead wood and only keep what makes us happy and pushes us to be creative. Creativity brings a sense of accomplishment; it adds colour and cheer to an otherwise dull and boring life. Over the next few months and even the coming years we will be re-inventing life as we know it. I think we’re both looking forward to challenge.
With all the new plans we’re making our sketchbooks are full of mood board type notes; my whiteboard is full of ever changing lists and I seem to have a different outlook on life. Perhaps it’s because I feel better after being dragged down by the flu but things are looking brighter for this very happy longarm quilter. I’ve even written another article recently that I hope will be published. Who knows someday I may even write a book!!! I guess I should add writing a book to my long range To-Do List 😉
It’s been a lovely weekend. My Sarah and I spent time together in a quiet relaxed atmosphere, we ate some nice meals and treats and we spent hours talking something and nothing. I plan on kicking off my week with a bit of longarm quilting and then I’m going to move onto a new project which I have been thinking about for a bit. Remember my friends, only you can create the life you imagine.
So for this evening, this very happy and much healthier longarm quilter will carry on working on a few more quiltlets. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly love doing. Life is too short for doing things we don’t enjoy!!! Remember to be kind to yourself. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
