Hello my lovelies. I hope you had a very enjoyable day. Mine started off in the brilliant sunshine. As I walked along with my little Maisie dog this morning I met a man who was no doubt on a mission to purchase his morning paper. The man smiled and said it’s a lovely day. That man’s smile just made my morning all the nicer. I have written once or twice before that a smile is priceless. We should learn to appreciate the simple things that life has to offer.
Mid-afternoon and while I was sitting in front of my laptop answering a couple of emails I heard a humming noise which I thought was my washing machine. However, when I spotted a whole lot of traffic at a standstill in front of my house I decided that the humming noise was not my washing machine. When I looked out my front window properly I saw that a helicopter had landed in the green space across the road! Well in all the years I have lived in this house I have never seen a helicopter land in that field. I ran for my camera but I’m afraid my photos aren’t that great but it will give you the general idea of what I saw from my front door.
I booted up my laptop and did a search regarding this helicopter landing but I couldn’t find anything. So all afternoon I imagined what was happening with said helicopter …. I wondered if one of the Royals was up in our little corner of the northeast of England??? Or perhaps the helicopter was being used as an ambulance. Maybe it was just a celebrity footballer visiting the area??? Who knows! I certainly would like to know what it was all about. I’ll be sure to catch the 6 o’clock news to see if there’s a report about it. How exciting!
So it’s been another great day in my little world. I’m learning to appreciate the little things in life … like a smile. The sunshine energised me to get on with everything on my To-Do List. I even spent 45 minutes in the garden right outside my sewing room window tidying up. A little pruning, some sweeping and it all looks fantastic now. And now that it’s tidy, I appreciate my little garden all the more. All is well with the world today.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on Quilts on the Grow. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
