Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve had a super fine day. Mine’s been full of loveliness. I kicked off the day by loading a quilt into my longarm quilting system …..
This quilt is a charity quilt for Quilts for Comfort. The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle has requested a few quilts for their young cancer patients. So I have been asked to longarm quilt a few quilt tops in order to top up the finished quilts inventory. The quilts need to be large enough for young adults. I have been given three super quilt tops pieced by Jenny. And I will do my best to turn her lovely quilt tops into proper quilts by adding the quilting. I look forward to meeting the challenge.
The rest of my day was spent answering emails, making phone calls and I had a secret assignation in the sunshine in the afternoon. All in all, it’s been a really good day in my little world. Things seem to be falling in place without much effort this week. I wish everyday was like today. I’m grateful for the peaceful times.
I found a critter in my garden this morning. This photo is not the best because it was taken thru the window. This is my neighbour’s cat. He visits quite often. In fact, he has been known to walk along my outer window sill and look into my sewing room quite often. I’m not a cat lover. I much prefer the company of the little wee birds nesting outside my window. And of course my Maisie dog is the absolute perfect companion.
So for this evening, this very happy and ambitious longarm quilter will be working on Quilts on the Grow blocks. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something fun and seasonal. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
