Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a superb day. I spent mine in the slow lane enjoying the scenery again. I had 45 minutes in the garden pruning and bagging the clippings. It’s amazing how a few minutes in the garden can make a difference.
I spent the morning stitching out Buzz by Hermione Agee. I love this design because it stitches out beautifully and it’s a funky design that works for male and female quilts. I like a funky design.
In the spirit of being spontaneous and once my quilting was done, I decided that we should go out for lunch today! I usually plan everything well ahead of time but I’ve noticed that when I try to plan something it quite often doesn’t work out so well and I’m often left disappointed. Our little lunch time adventure was very welcome. We had a lovely simple but delicious lunch in a nearby pub. It just goes to show that you can plan everything out but sometimes it’s the last minute outings that work out the best.
Over the last week or so I made some good progress on my Quilts on the Grow project. I have a total of 23 blocks pieced so far. I’ll soon be at the halfway mark.
I seem to have been doing only hand sewing over the last couple of months. I must admit that today I was longing to use my sewing machine again. I have a few ideas of what I would like to piece by machine and goodness knows I have enough fabric in my stash to do it. Perhaps it’s time to move back into the fast lane and get piecing.
It’s been a great day in my little world. I’m hoping that summer is just around the corner where I’ll find some great inspiration for creative projects to come. I’m still prepping a new beach hut project that I’m really looking forward to seeing finished and hanging in a perfect place.
So for this evening, this very happy and ambitious longarm quilter will be doing some more EPP work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing some seasonal crafting. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
