Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super day. It’s been a rather lovely day here in my little corner of the northeast of England. It wasn’t sit outside in the garden type of weather but there was no rain.
I decided to step out to purchase some embroidery thread for some stitchery work which I plan on adding to my Sweet Hearts Dozen blocks starting this weekend. I’m going to treat the weekend like a proper holiday.
As everyone knows, we in the UK, are celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday this year. Now and again when I go to the post office I ask if there are any interesting stamps available. Well I hit the jackpot this morning when the clerk offered me these …..
Don’t you just love the cheeky expression on Prince George’s face??? He and his little sister Princess Charlotte look so much alike. They certainly have captured my heart. Now I will have to write a letter so I can use one of these interesting stamps.
It’s been a lovely day in my little world. I enjoyed stitching out the little birds. And planning my weekend has been a difficult task because I have so many different activities to choose from. However, I have made up my mind and added my chosen activities to my To-Do List. Now let’s see if I stick to this plan of action and for how long. I’ll leave you today with something to think about … If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love ~ Maya Angelou.
So for this evening, this very happy and super ambitious longarm quilter will be doing some fine hand appliqué. I hope you spend the weekend doing things you love doing. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
