Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a fantastic day in your little corner of this big beautiful world. My day was made all the better because of all the lovely comments I got regarding yesterday’s blog post. I really appreciate all your kinds words. I can’t believe how patchwork and quilting and crafting in general brings people from far and wide together. I think it’s amazing. I thank each and every one of you for reading my daily ramblings.
If you’re a new reader who is just joining us, I am running a summer giveaway competition at the moment. It’s not too late to enter just click here to enter by leaving a simple comment. It’s as simple as that. I have added something else to the prizes today.
The addition to the prizes is a couple table toppers, one for each prize bundle, which was freemotion quilted and bound by me and the fabric used for the quilt top was hand dyed by my Sarah!!! I promise I will add a simple label to each table topper. Thank you Kathy for the idea of a giveaway. I plan on adding another little something to each prize bundle next week. The competition closes on July 7.
Do you remember this background quilt which I worked on a few weeks back?
And do you remember these paper components which I cut out to use as a layout tool?
Well they’re both on my design wall now …..
My design wall was looking very lonely so I thought I should pin something to it. So I selected this Beach Hut Quilt project this morning @ 5am. It was rather hot for sleeping last night so I was up and at it quite early this morning. Anyway I have started trying to work out how to layout the patches, how many to use and what I can add to make it interesting. Once I’m happy with the layout I will choose fabrics that pop. I would like this project to be cheerful and decorative. And of course you know I love beach huts.
So it’s been a pretty good day in my little world. The weather has been lovely making me feel like anything is possible. Sarah and I are busy trying to decide which of the adventures on our short list we will be participating in next time. Next week my diary is all jammed up with meetings and celebrations. I can’t believe I will be celebrating another birthday next week. Where have the years gone.
So for this evening, this very happy and ambitious longarm quilter will be doing some fine hand appliqué work on the Quilts on the Grow project. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
