Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a great week. I’m so pleased the weekend is here. All those of you who work during the week can enjoy a couple of days doing family things.
It’s been an interesting day in my little world. My day just passed at a lovely slow and measured pace. I kicked off my day by loading a quilt into my longarm quilting system. You might remember my apple core quilt pieced using some lively funky fabrics which were well out of my comfort zone. After piecing this quilt and thoroughly enjoying myself, I decided that I like it because it’s cheerful. I think I’ll name it Road to Liberation because it has freed me from using dull serious colours. I’m going to try to be more adventurous with the colours I use in my future projects.
Over the last few days I have received loads of comments because of a giveaway I’m running, for more info click here. The comments have come from readers all over the world. Although our lifestyles may vary in all kinds of different ways, one common thread brings us together, the love of patchwork and quilting and all things crafty.
It’s been a great day in my little world. I played in my sewing room a little bit while I loaded my apple core quilt into my longarm system, I watched special news reports about the referendum result for the UK to leave the EU. Our future looks a little uncertain but hopefully it will all work out for the best for all. And one of the highlights of my morning was meeting this little guy on my morning walk with Maisie …..
I couldn’t believe my eyes when this hedgehog walked across the footpath. In all the years that I have walked dogs first thing in the morning I have never had the pleasure of meeting a hedgehog that wasn’t two dimensional!
So for this evening, this very happy and super ambitious longarm quilter will be doing some prep work for the Quilts on the Grow project. I hope you all have a super cosy weekend spending time with friends and family. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
