Hello my lovelies. Oh I certainly hope you’ve all had as good a weekend as I have. Saturday morning set things up for me. I woke to super sunshine. The morning had a very welcome fresh feel to it. The raindrops and dew on the plants made everything look new and improved. We had lots of rain including some thunder and lightning overnight but I slept thru it!
I spent the weekend messing around in my sewing room. I longarm quilted, bound and labelled my Apple Core quilt.
So it seems by finishing off my Apple Core quilt I managed to cross something off my summer adventure to-do list. Yippee! In fact, I can cross two things off my adventures list; the first was to get the Apple Core quilt finished and ready to snuggle under in the cooler months and the other is using brighter funkier fabrics in a random fashion in my quilts. Hooray the happy quilter moves forward.
Quite a few of you will know that I’m running a summer giveaway. Well it started off with two prizes and it has now been increased to three bundles. So far each bundle consists of a small bundle of fat quarters which have been handpicked by this very happy quilter, a bag and a table topper all made by me. It’s not too late to enter the draw. Just here to be taken to the original post and leave a comment which includes where in the world you come from.
I had a fantastic weekend just messing around doing bits and pieces and catching up on a few chores. I did a little bit of home cooking which was very welcome. But best of all I finished my Road to Liberation apple core quilt. Making this quilt has helped me break away from choosing serious and dull colours and prints for my quilts. I’m hoping to stick to cheerful and interesting fabrics to bring the joy of colour into my life.
So for this evening, this very happy and super ambitious longarm quilter will be prepping some patches for EPP work related to my Quilts on the Grow project. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that brings joy into your life. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching ♥ ♥
